Not only is this a link page, but also a bibliography. Many of these sites I have taken information from. Check them out. The CPU Info Center - very detailed information on CPUs
Tom's Hardware Guide - very good. Has detailed information and news. Kingston Homepage Kingston's Memory Guide - company that manufactures RAM. The BIOS Survival Guide - what it says. Snake Oil, Miracle Cures, and Computer Monitors - educational guide for buying monitors. ZDnet's Homepage - a very popular En'zine that has information on many aspects of computers.
Anand's Hardware Tech Page - contains news and reviews of hardware. Hardware Pairnet.com - mostly news. Spumador's HW Page- tweak your PC. System Optimization Hardware and Performance Guide- more tweaking. The Fast Graphics Site - all about getting, well, fast graphics. One book I used that must get credit is How Computers Work by Ron White of Ziff Davis publishing. I highly recommend this book for learning the basics of computers it is very straightforward and has good illustrations to help.
